I don’t know exactly what she has, but back in Ro we have a small fish originated in the Black Sea, which we prepare similarly. I searched for a translation and it came up as “anchovy”. About the eating, depends on each individual taste, i eat everything, others remove the head. This is how it looks what we have

Thanks for the info. I’m not much on fish. I’m more of a shellfish kind of guy, but I never did like anchovies on pizza. Much too salty and fishy tasting.
I don’t like anchovy as well. That’s what the translator came up with. The fish we have there is only found in the Black Sea and has a very different taste but looks similar with anchovy
