What is it that you say is not cool. Explain please.
Careful, gorgeous, youâll have the entire forum at your door.
@Kyle14505 Itâs not fair to the participants if you upload the entire action scene here, uploading an snippet would suffice to encourage users to go and watch it on the main site but uploading the whole thing here does the opposite.
Youâre totally right, thank you for explanation.
Does visiting the timeline count towards their credit? Or is just the ones who visit their realm live?
Yes, it does.
I think math works differently in Russia
Hey, Blue. I completely understand what you mean. Iâm just not so sure that I can totally agree with it. I mean, I understand marketing, enticement, teasing, etc., but I donât think what he posted would have the opposite effect of that. I think it would do just the same as what you said. I think everything thatâs posted in the forum is just an enticement to go watch it on the timeline or in the archive.
No matter what is posted in the forum, I think anyone with access to the timeline would want to watch the scene in its entirety with no cuts, no breaks, no dropouts, and, in this case, at least, at a much higher resolution. I know if I had access to the timeline, thatâs exactly what I would do, no matter what was posted here. Just another point of view.
I think most people donât watch the same movie more than once. Although some might do. if the entire scene is posted and watched on the forum, most users who spend a limited time are not going to watch it again on the timeline. Lets say MR.X is going to spend 1 hour of his time watching VHTV, he checks the forum, finds a hot video and spends 15 mins watching it from start to end, is he going to spend another 15 mins watching it on the main site as well or he would find other stuff to watch in his next 45 mins ? ⌠after all there are over 40 apartments, and there are so many choices. I think most people would choose to watch multiple scenes from different places, rather than watching the same thing over & over. The same concept applies to most copyrighted materials ( movies, tv series, porn, etc ). In fact I have never watched any teaser that goes on for more than few minutes ( itâs usually less than a minute or two ) . The other point is if the entire action scenes are posted on the forum and is available for everyone to view free of charge, many people would not find any reason to subscribe to the site as they can get enough free stuff here. I know freeloaders love this, but itâs not good for the participants and the project.
The thing is @VHTV_James allowed to post video snippets here. However there was never made a statement about the max lenght allowed. I guess max lenght is limited by max upload size. Sure you can split longer scenes and upload them completely. But why make the efforts? I only use the video upload when something funny or strange happens. With many videos posted the loading times also become bad. I would limit the lenght of a video to 2 minutes maximumâŚ
I see what Blue is saying. My posted videos were better than what you would see on the timeline and they have the same resolution. When I WATCH the timeline I get jumps or skips where when I ârecordâ it the jumps and skips seem to be eliminated so I get a better view on my Video. I usually limit my videos to 2 minutes because of file size. I will not be posting as many videos as I was. I donât want to hurt the realms. I posted too many on Black and Peace. They had so many remarkable moments.
Yes, there is no problem with uploading snippets as it makes it more interesting on the forum and it promotes the apartment, but uploading the entire scene in small parts ( what kyle was doing ) is not the same thing.
When have you ever seen an entire scene posted on this forum? I would say never because I donât believe itâs ever happened. Even in this case, where possibly a good portion of a scene was posted, this may be the very first time thatâs ever happened.
And I certainly wasnât suggesting that people post more of a scene. I only had a counterpoint to what you said. I donât believe that whatever is posted here would stop anyone from going to the timeline to watch a scene as a continuous stream.
That is a very sad shame. Iâm sorry to hear that. Obviously, my opinion is not a very popular one, but thatâs OK. Itâs JMO.
My point was exclusively about the videos that he posted in this topic yesterday, and it covered the entire scene.
Fully agree to that. Not cool and it also makes loading times awfully slow
That, I believe, would make you a very unpopular VH employee. JMO.

Read the part of your post that I quoted in my last post. Thatâs a reference to any action scene, not just what Kyle posted. Thatâs what I was speaking to.
Believe I could take the piss
Yes, in general, I donât think itâs a cool thing to upload the entire scene here, even if itâs split into small parts. but my post only applied to him as like you said it rarely happens. other people also post videos on the forum but it is more like a teaser than anything else.
