I remember the previous apartment. It had three bathrooms. When visitors were there, usually every day, or every other day, you could click on the bathrooms and expect to see people smoking, plotting, discussing, shagging and occasionally bathing. Not a bit like that now. I suspect one of two things happened. Alec poured a lot of resources into the apartment but his earnings from viewings did not match his outgoings. I have seen this happen before. Or else, he had to move away quickly as visitors were betraying confidences and increasing the prosecution risk. Seen that before as well. For a few weeks however it was the ‘best show in town.’
