He is heading for obesity which can trigger Hypertension which can trigger type 2 Diabetes its a vicious circle and it all affects the heart. A good 30 minute workout 3 times a week would put him back on the road to fitness. I saw a bike in the apartment which I think is his so if he is cycling that’s a great start.

Sadly, still people believe that they should avoid fat and eat lots fruit with fructose (sugar). They remain confused why all the exercise and fat free diet does not show weight loss result.
The easiest and fastest way to lose weight to avoid Sugar and Carbs (hence sugar). Intermittent fasting provides the fastest result (1+ kg daily)
